Letter from the Director

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Rose Hall. It is my pleasure to serve as the Educational Director of a school that provides such a wonderful educational experience for children and great support for their families. In turn, our families provide great support for us and for each other. Add to that a staff of caring, well trained and very nurturing teachers and you have a great community in which children thrive.

At the heart of Rose Hall is the Montessori philosophy and curriculum. Montessori has been around for more than 100 years; its popularity is growing by leaps and bounds in the United States; it is being adopted by many public school systems and there are Montessori schools in almost every country. I think that says a lot about the universality of a curriculum. Watching the children and teachers in the classroom….that says even more. Montessori is an extraordinary way to educate children and Rose Hall does a great job of implementing the philosophy and the curriculum.

It is a joy to watch new families arrive at Rose Hall…to see very young children and their parents begin to feel at home in the classrooms, chat in the hallways with new friends and develop a sense of belonging. In a very short time many of these families are taking on roles on the Parent Board, helping with art projects in the classrooms and welcoming in the newer families. It is a cycle that happens each year and it is something that makes Rose Hall such a joyful, supportive place for parents and children alike.

I encourage you to peruse our website and then come for a visit. It is the very best way to understand the experience that your child and you will have at Rose Hall.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
