Little Explorers

A Parent/Child class for children between the ages of 17 and 23 months, Little Explorers meets once per week throughout the school year. It is an introduction to Montessori education for both the children and the parents.

The classroom is full of intriguing, developmentally appropriate activities including water works, manipulatives, puzzles, art and blocks. In this specially prepared environment the little ones are free to explore the materials, follow their inner drive to learn and satisfy their curiosity. There is also plenty of space for gross motor activities such as climbing, jumping and riding toys. A nutritious snack and a short music/games time round out the day.

The Little Explorers class is a wonderful opportunity for very young children to learn to work with and trust another adult and for parents to learn a bit about the Montessori philosophy and educational methods.
