Preschool
Rose Hall offers morning or afternoon class for three to six year-old students. The mixed age group, low student/teacher ratio and three-hour class time give the children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities including:
Practical Life: Promotes a sense of order, concentration, coordination and independence.
Sensorial: By using the Montessori materials, the children begin to refine their senses as they learn about color, size, shape and dimension.
Math: Working with concrete materials, the children gain a strong understanding of numbers and are well prepared for understanding abstract math later on.
Language: Using sight, touch and hearing, the children progress from basic vocabulary and pre-reading activities to beginning phonics, reading and writing.
Science and Geography: The children begin to learn about the world around them: continents, land forms, plants and animals.
Art, Music, and Yoga: A variety of activities are available throughout the day and during group time.
Our Preschool Teachers are highly trained in the Montessori philosophy and educational methods. They pay close attention to the full development of each child.
