Toddlers
Two-year olds attend class two or three mornings per week for two hours. In a cozy, nurturing atmosphere they engage in independent activities such as puzzles, colors, numbers, fine motor activities, and art. Group activities include songs, stories, musical instruments and creative movement.
The Toddler program is based on the Montessori belief that children have an inner desire to learn. The children are introduced to beginning math, language and sensorial activities as they work with beautifully designed materials.
After an introductory period with a parent or a nanny, toddlers take the giant step of being on their own in a group of eight to ten friends. Each Toddler Class has two highly experienced teachers who appreciate the joys and challenges of working with this delightful age group.
